1. Get a paper from the front of the room labeled "Excerpt From A Christmas Carol."
2. Copy the paper in a Google Doc.
3. Share with me when finished.
In a Google Doc., write a 2 pg. story about what would happen if we had a "snow day" and school was canceled. Share the story with me when finished.
Find an article online about a computer virus. On a sheet of paper, write 1/2 page summarizing the article and telling me your thoughts about what you have read.

Students in class learned what it means to have a "digital footprint" & created footprints representing online activities.
We discussed how things posted online represent who we are. We watched a Ted Talk about the importance of how we present ourselves online. We also discussed how technology has changed over the years and saw an example of Olympic Swimmer, Michael Phelps', son, Boomer, having a digital footprint though he couldn't even work a computer.

Students received credit for following directions and turning in two of the first assignments by BOTH sharing them with me, AND turning them in on Canvas.
All other assignments are just to be turned in on Canvas.
Recently in class, students helped establish class norms by writing their expectations on a post-it note, both expectations for the teacher as well as expectations for the other students in the class. The post-its were posted on the wall in the back of the classroom.
If you think that you turned in an assignment but you did not receive credit for it, there is a no-name box in the back of the classroom. Please check there to see if you have any assignments in there without a name on them.
If one of them is yours:
Put your name on it.
Turn it back in to the correct bin for your period.
To the left, is some useful internet information for students, which is also located on the back of the Class Disclosures.
