Hope Squad
The Hope Squad traveled to Clearfield High School on Feb 26th to attend the annual Hope Squad Conference. Schools from all over Northern Utah gathered to learn about suicide prevention, self care techniques, and to collaborate with other Hope Squads to share ideas about how they spread hope in their school communities!
StoryCon
This year we took 30 students to StoryCon… and watched stories come to life.
They met the authors behind their favorite books, discovered new worlds, and remembered that their own voices matter too. 💬📖
The future of storytelling is in good hands.
Reality Town
Our 8th graders recently participated in Reality Town, an engaging, hands-on experience designed to give students a glimpse into real-world financial responsibilities. Each student was assigned a career, salary, and even a family scenario, then tasked with navigating a “town” of booths to purchase essential needs such as housing, transportation, childcare, groceries, insurance, and more. Along the way, they encountered some very persuasive “car salesmen” (played by our own teachers) who encouraged them to consider upgrades that sometimes stretched their budgets a little too thin—creating valuable lessons about financial decision-making and prioritizing needs over wants. This immersive experience not only sparked a lot of fun and laughter, but also provided meaningful insight into the realities of adulthood.
Reality Town continues to be a favorite tradition among students, and we are incredibly grateful to our counseling team for their outstanding work in organizing and bringing this impactful event to life each year.

Hello my name is Deputy Jason Hawes
I am a fairly new deputy with a few years of experience and decades of service to the community in the Banking industry. I recently changed careers and came home to Utah after a divorce and spending enough time out on the East coast. Beyond the badge , I am a proud father of 3 trying my best to balance the demands of Law Enforcement with the responsibilities of a family life. I have a strong commitment to public safety, a deep sense of duty that continues to guide both my career and values I try to instill at home. I recently became a Grandpa and I am excited to grow my career in the schools where I can be a positive influence on others grandchildren and I hope that others can do the same for me!
Thanks for this opportunity, I love these kids!

Boys volleyball Inagural season
We had an unforgettable season! 🏐💙
What a time to be a Minuteman! These boys took on a brand-new sport and showed incredible dedication, determination, and grit — all while finding success along the way! Making it all the way to the championship game and coming up just short of the title is an amazing accomplishment.
We’re so proud of our Minutemen Boys Volleyball team and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 💪
Our students showed up loud and proud, our cheerleaders brought the energy 🎉, and our coaches, Mr. Barron and Mr. Fredrickson, deserve a huge thank you for giving their time and sharing their talent and knowledge with the team.
