New York State Graduation Requirements

New York State mandates students to pass, at minimum, 22 credits of coursework and 5 exams to graduate. 

Of those 22 credits, the below coursework must be included:

• 4 credits of English

• 4 credits of Social Studies

• 3 credits of Math* *Students are always encouraged to take

• 3 credits of Science*   4 years of Math & Science to promote rigor

• 4 years of PE   and prepare for college.

• .5 credit in Health

• 1 credit of Art of Music

• 1 - 3 credits of World Language

• 2 - 3 credits of Electives
