Make sure your internet, wireless connections, and laptop are working properly before the start of class to avoid any technology errors
Parent/Guardian Class
A 2 hour Parent/Guardian class is required for students under 18 years of age. It will usually run the day before the student class unless otherwise noted. (Please be aware, the parent/guardian class can run over 2 hours)
Students cannot drive until the parent class requirement has been satisfied!
Quick Overview of Driver Ed Requirements
Once you turn 15 years and 9 months old, you can start taking driver’s ed as the RMV requires that you turn 15 years and 9 months old by day one of class otherwise they will not count your driver ed.
You can check your age using the "how old am I" website and put your birthdate in if you need to make sure.
Keep checking our webpage (which you can access from the school's webpage by going to the for students heading, and clicking on the driver ed tab) as we add new classes to see which class fits your schedule.
Once you turn 16 you can sign up to take the learners permit test which is 25 questions, and then start driving with your parents. There are online practice exams. You can access on our webpage or You tube. You must get 18 correct to pass.
To sign up to take a road exam; you must have held your permit in good standing for 184 days or 6 months and must have completed all of your driver ed requirements, which includes the following:
2 hour Parent/Guardian class which is usually held a few days prior to the start date of class

Pass a final exam of 55 questions with 80 or better

Notes
All requirements must be met within 2 years of your start date to be certified by the RMV, which is why we recommend planning to complete them within one year.
You will not get a driver ed certificate in the mail, it only means that the RMV has certified that you completed Driver Ed.
