Costs for Driver Education

Driver Ed Investment

Driver Ed Progrm $900.00 

(Class attendance not guaranteed until full payment is received)

What's Included?

Package price includes: 

2 hour Parent/Guardian class

30 hours or 15 modules of classroom training

12 hours driving and 6 hours observing.

Important Parent/Guardian Class Information

If you have already attended another driving school's Parent/Guardian class; I will need a copy of the parent class certificate sent to me with your registration fee or you can email a copy to me with your payment. If you have already attended a Parent/Guardian class at Wachusett, I will need the date, parent's name and name of the student who you were taking the class for. 

Please Note

The RMV requires all missed modules to be made up. Missed modules will be made up in the next driver ed session. Alternatively they can be made up sooner on an individual basis with an instructor at a cost of $100 per module plus a $50 final exam makeup fee. 

What's Not Included?

Road Exam School Sponsor Fee - $150.00 

Make up modules/lessons - $75.00

Checks should be made Payable to WRSD prior to your road exam)

Mass RMV Fees - 

(Payable Online to the RMV - should be done a few days prior to your road exam) 

Learner's Permit fee - $30.00 - (May be retaken but student will be charged each time)

Important Note:

The following fees should be prepaid online to the RMV prior to your road exam or you will not be allowed to drive until it is paid in full!

Road Exam Fee - $35.00

Junior Operator License Fee - $50.00

Payment Information

Full payment guarantees your place in the class. If paying in two payments, the balance is due 30 days prior to class.

Note: Please print and include a copy of the class confirmation with your payment

We accept payment via check or money order only. 

Please include a note with money order including student name, class date and amount of payment and number of money order. Please include a note with money orders with name/driver ed class date etc. Please make checks and Money Orders payable to WRSD (Include student name & class date in the memo.)

Driver Ed School Policies

Driving Lessons:

*  Students are responsible for scheduling drive times and completing all driver ed requirements within one year.

*  24 hour notice is required for all drive time cancellations.

* Missed drive times will result in a $75 per hour makeup fee.

*  If a student is more than 10 minutes late for a scheduled drive  time, a $75 missed lesson fee will apply.

Class Rules and Refunds:

*  Each missed module will need to be made up in a future class and will result in a $100 makeup fee as well as a $50 final exam makeup fee.

*  In the event a student does not complete all requirements within two years, all funds will be forfeited and the student will be charged the current per hour rate for road lessons.

Students have 2 years from day one of class, to complete driver ed or the RMV will not certify them as completing the program. 

Refunds:

*  There are no refunds for class once instruction has begun.

*  In the event a student does not complete all requirements within two years, all funds will be forfeited and the student will be charged the current per hour rate for road lessons.

Students have 2 years from day one of class, to complete driver ed or the RMV will not certify them as completing the program. (The school recommends completing all requirements in 1 year.)

Per Hour, additional hours & Road Test Practice Fees

Driving only hours as well as students who exceed the two year limit, will be charged at $80.00 per hour
