Laila Laba-Ouro (Grade 9) won gold, defeating second-year wrestler Christlynn Brown.
Judah Brown, Christlynn’s older brother, earned a bronze medal in his class.
Our other wrestlers also showed great progress:
Gemma Skogstad and Ahmed Habib won their first tournament matches.
Rovan Habib reached the medal round, going further than before.
Lily Clough and Tristan Ivanov stayed competitive until the end.
Avery Pereira, Alex Carew, Dante Ehana, and Abdulrahman Khalifa showed strong improvement as they continue to learn the sport.

Observations & Takeaways:
Wci wrestlers showed good technique in the matches often gaining points and an advantage early in the match.
Areas for growth: better fitness to improve the dominance early in the match and so we can push for a higher pace.
