The 2025–2026 Senior Boys Vikings stormed into the season like a force of nature, carrying the weight of legacy and the fire of a new era. Every game felt like a battle, every play a clash of wills, and every athlete on the roster brought something fierce to the court. With leadership forged through hard practices and late-night grind sessions, this squad marched forward with confidence, pride, and the kind of determination that makes crowds rise to their feet. Whether they were shutting down opponents with iron-wall defense or exploding on offense with raw power and precision, the Vikings played with a warrior spirit that defined their identity. This was not just a team—this was a brotherhood built on resilience, heart, and the belief that no challenge was too great for a Viking.

The WCI Senior Boys Vikings stormed into their first clash of the season against GCI with the energy of a team ready to set the tone for the entire year. From the opening whistle, the Vikings played like a unit forged through grit and confidence, surging forward with fast, aggressive phases and defending with the kind of intensity that sends a message across the league. Every carry felt like a statement, every tackle echoed across the field, and the boys wore that Viking blue with pride. It wasn’t just another game — it was the start of a campaign, a declaration that WCI is here to battle, here to dominate, and here to leave a mark.
OUTCOME ( W BABY!)
N. Malloy has been the driving force behind the senior boys basketball team, leading the scoring in every game so far. His consistency on offense sets the tone for the entire squad, always finding ways to create shots and finish plays when it matters most. Whether it’s knocking down jumpers, pushing the pace, or making tough baskets in the paint, Malloy’s reliability has made him the team’s go-to scorer and a key reason for their success. Past games- (17, 23, 23). At the end of the season, Nirvan Malloy was also recognized as one of the team’s Standout Players. As the team’s leading scorer throughout the season, he put up very impressive numbers in his first season of Senior Basketball, making a strong impact and playing an important role in the team’s success.
Standout Player
Omar Ibrahim was a major standout player through his leadership, creative scoring, and gritty defence. Omar was consistently matched up against opponents top players and was often able to have a strong impact on both ends of the floor.
The WCi vikings played in the biggest tournament in the Provence. they fought very hard in all their games, loosing by 1 point in the first game against Newfoundland. they also lost their second in a hard fought game. to end the tournament on a good note they won there last game.

Season Recap
The Senior Boys Basketball team finished the regular season with a record of 10-2 and successfully made their way to the WCSSAA semi-finals. Despite not making it to the league finals, the team was able to qualify for CWOSSA with a thrilling victory over Bluevale. Over a tough weekend of Basketball the team made their way to the CWOSSA semi-finals where their season unfortunately came to an end against the eventual tournament champions, St. Mary's.
Stand Out Moments
One of the Standout moments for WCI Basketball Team was 75-73 Overtime Win against Galt in the first game of the season. Beating Bluevale 97-91 in the CWOSSA qualifier. Biggest moment's were battling through three tough games at CWOSSA and reaching the semi-finals.
