BEFORE THE AUDITIONS
Sign up for an audition slot on the sheet which will be located in the auditorium one week prior to auditions. If you want an audition, you must sign up!
Fill out an audition sheet (in the auditorium bythe bulletin board).
Fill out the "Student & Parent Consent Form" if you haven't done so already & bring it to auditions!
Practice, practice, practice a song from the musical! Choices are listed below! Pay attention to your enunciation, projection, memorization, and facial expressions/movement.
Bring both forms to your audition.

Arrive at the auditorium on your audition day (that you signed up for) at 1:40 for important information. Please note that you will be auditioning by yourself--not "with" friends!
At your vocal/acting audition, you will be performing a small part of a song from the musical as well as one monologue (speech) depending on which character you would like a part fo (However, you will be considered for all roles regardless of which you sing for!) We will be paying attention to your personality, vocal projection, enunciation, and memorization. Perform the song as if you are in the musical--with projection, movement around the stage, gesturing, and facial expressions! This does NOT have to be memorized.
At the dance auditions, you will be shown a short dance combination and given some time to practice it and ask questions. Then you will perform the dance number in small groups. You must be wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for a dance routine. This means you should be wearing comfortable clothing (no jeans) and sneakers or dance shoes (no uggs/flip-flips/heels/etc.)! You should not be wearing any loose jewelry and your hair should be tied back.
