African American Male Achievement Initiative (AAMAI): This initiative addresses educational disparities faced by African American male students, aiming to improve outcomes and support their success through targeted resources, programing and opportunities.
School-Based Equity Facilitators (SBEF): These facilitators create supportive, inclusive environments, promote continuous learning, and advance equity and inclusion within schools and the district.
Equity Advisory Council (EAC): Established in 2021, the EAC advises the district on diversity, equity, and inclusion matters, providing data-driven recommendations to district leadership.
Waukegan Public Schools Equity Framework: The district’s equity and inclusion efforts are guided by this framework, which includes:

Through these efforts, Waukegan Public Schools aims to create an equitable and educational environment for all.
