Login to the Backend using your SSOID
According to the University policy, the IRIMS Backend is currently restricted to on-campus use only. Please enable the HKBU VPN connection in advance if you plan to access it off campus. Click here for the ITO VPN setup guide.
Click "+ Add content" or "Personal" to start the process
There are two ways to add content:
Through Import
Directly Input
The Library enables and maintains 7 authoritative resources as import sources of research outputs:
Scopus
PubMed
Web of Science
arXiv.org
EBSCOhost Research Databases
IEEE Xplore Digital Library
ORCID
The system crawls data from these import sources once every week
First-time Setup:
You can see a grey box ➊ at the bottom of the screen. Click "Set up automatic search"
Turn on ❷ the needed import sources to enable automatic search and data crawling. You can also set to receive email alerts ❸. Click "Save"

If import options are available, click to see what publications can be imported into your record
If a publication is crawled by mistake (e.g., another author shares the same name with you), click "Remove" to clean the list
If you hope to import a crawled publication,
Click "Import"
Choose "Import and review"
An appropriate content submission form will be pop-up with publication data automatically filled
Review populated data, input additional data, and upload files according to the guidelines here
Full-text files cannot be automatically imported
If no import option is available or if you hope to add non-publication content, choose an appropriate form to submit information
Click on "Create from template"

The 7 main content categories are:
Research Output -- both textual and non-textual forms
Activity -- presentations, memberships, consultancy, etc.
Prize -- any prize related to professions
Press/Media -- any media coverage on your professional works
Course -- teaching activities
Dataset -- original research datasets
Student thesis -- for eligible TPG Master's students only
