The profile of our students is extremely diverse. An English student at Woosong University could be a recent high school graduate studying in one of our English skills classes, an international student at our business school or other international schools with close to native level proficiency, or even a working adult or older person at the Woosong Language Institute (WLI). Most of our students live in and around Daejeon, and their language needs range from beginner level English lessons to advanced conversation classes. Most courses are offered as general education courses, so these are the norm for most of our professors. However, Woosong also offers English for Specific Purpose (ESP) classes, covering specialties such as business English and writing. There may be other assignments available, too, such as teaching electives in one of our international schools.
This diversity is what makes Woosong strong, not to mention a challenging and interesting work environment. If you worry that you can teach only students of a certain type, working with us might be an opportunity to expand your repertoire. You can learn more about our various schools and communities by visiting the About Woosong or Useful Links pages. Our FAQs page can help answer some other questions you might have.
