Assistant Professor of English as a Foreign Language (EFL)

Job Description
Teach a variety of credit and non-credit English language classes.
Maximum teaching 20 hours per week and 4 office hours.
2 hours of professional development every other week.
Requirements and Qualifications
Citizen of Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, or the United States of America.
Master’s degree and 2 years of verifiable English teaching experience at the college or university level, though we will also consider K-12 teaching experience in your country of citizenship if it required a verifiable teaching license from the government OR those who have a doctoral degree ( Ph.D. or Ed.D., etc.) can apply without relevant work experience.
Documents verifying English teaching experience (work certificate or scan of official signed letter from employer with explicit dates).*
English/Korean bilingual teachers are especially encouraged to apply, though Korean-language ability is not required for application.
Degrees in Education, English, and Linguistics are preferred, though again these are not required and applicants with other academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply too.
*Experience can come from prior to postgraduate enrollment and after graduation. We cannot accept experience gained during your studies. If the duration of your postgraduate program was only one year, an additional year of verifiable experience is required. Experience must be university or corporate level, no private academies. Licensed primary and secondary level teaching is acceptable. Professional experience, if relevant to Woosong University departments/programs, may also be accepted.
Starting Salary
2,700,000 – 3,500,000 KRW per month
