Is this a diagnostic test or mental health evaluation?

No. The DESSA-2 is not a clinical assessment, diagnostic tool, or mental health evaluation. It is simply a tool to help educators understand social-emotional skill development in school settings.

Will I receive results for my child?

At the Elementary level, information about your child's strengths and social-emotional growth can be shared during conferences or upon request. At Middle and High School levels where students complete a self report, results can be accessed directly through the students account in the “DESSA Student with Secure Sync” app already loaded into their clever account. 

How is my child's privacy protected?

All screening data is kept strictly confidential and accessed only by authorized school personnel (such as your child's teacher, counselor, or school administrator) to guide instructional support in accordance with federal privacy laws (FERPA).
