How do I find relevant resources?

The catalogue is the go-to place to find resources that have been recommended on Google Classroom reading lists or to locate high quality factual and engaging fiction titles. Our online catalogue can be accessed using the button above!



How do I loan books from the Library?

To loan books from the Library, you have to do just two things.




How do I arrange click-and-collect for Library resources?

As well as browsing or searching the bookshelves you can also arrange for click and collect via the Library catalogue.  This means that a member of staff will collect and hold the resources for you at the main desk in the Library and then notify you via email so you can visit and have these issued to you.  You can also use this function to reserve books and other resources that are on loan to other students or staff.



How long will click-and-collect resources be held for me?

Click and collect requests will take up to 3hrs to be collected by the Library team from the shelves and reserved for you behind the issue desk. We will hold the books for you 5 days and after that, your reservation/s will be cancelled and the resources returned to the shelves.



How do I find online journals, magazines and E-books

We provide you with a massive online library of E-journals, E-magazines and E-books and they can be found via our Online Databases



How do I return resources that I have on loan?

When your books or other physical resources are due for return please come to the Library to return them at the main desk.



What if you don't have a title I need?

You can make a request for a title to any member of the team in the Library or you can email us a link from an online bookshop or supplier to Library@wmsf.ac.uk

We subscribe to the RNIB Bookshare platform for those students who need to read in accessible formats because of a print impairment.  Speak to a member of the Library or the Learning Support Teams to be signed up.  Once signed up you can;
