Kinder: Identify big/strong emotions and use strategies to regulate themselves and their behaviors
1st Grade: Create an action plan with conflict resolution with peers or adults.
2nd Grade: Compose an image, poem, song, or essay that depicts various definitions of success.
3rd Grade: Reflect on their current skill level to determine their need to succeed in their specific endeavors
4th Grade: Articulate their reason for working toward success in school.
5th Grade: Report their own values and the benefits derived from school, home, and community
By the end of Elementary School, a student has a strong foundation in literacy and math, is gaining more independence and ownership of their learning, has explored a variety of career options, and can articulate the importance of continuing education after high school.
6th Grade: Analyze and prioritize personal interests, talents, and skills
7th Grade: Analyze your responsibility for learning in various classes, regardless of teacher, course contents, and or/interest.
8th Grade: Recognize the importance of educational achievements and performance
By the end of Middle School, a student has analyzed their strengths and aspirations, built awareness of career clusters, and has the tools they need to navigate which high school pathways will prepare them for their careers of interest.
9th Grade: Recognize the steps to help students to make a positive and informed decision.
10th Grade: Understand how to show consideration and respect for themselves and others.
11th Grade: Develop a self-care plan to address social and emotional needs to help them create academic and career goals.
12th Grade: Be able to define their own beliefs and values. Students should know how to set goals and deal pressures of society to create their own definition of success.
By the end of High School, a student has completed all the academic, career, and financial requirements necessary to enroll in a postsecondary pathway that reflects their strengths and interests, and they've developed the personal and social skills necessary to build support networks and thrive in their postsecondary pathway.
