Elementary:
Kinder: Set K-12 grade-level benchmarks for academic development, career development, personal and social development, and financial literacy to ensure all students are on track to graduate college
1ST GRADE: Parents need to recognize the importance of involvement beyond the elementary years
2ND GRADE: Parents need to recognize the importance of attendance in events and activities beyond the instructional day
3RD GRADE: Recognize the importance of school attendance so that students understand the correlation between attendance and performance
4TH GRADE: Establish an Internal School Culture of Advising by helping students realize the roles of counselors, administrators, and other members of the school community and how they can contribute to their success
5TH GRADE: Help PK-5 students understand the Importance of academic development/grade level expectations by increasing the science of reading across contents to build students' literacy skills to ensure academic success beyond grades PK-5
By the end of Elementary School, a student has a strong foundation in literacy and math, is gaining more independence and ownership of their learning, has explored a variety of career options, and can articulate the importance of continuing education after high school.
Middle School:
6TH GRADE: Understand graduation requirements, dual credit opportunities, and GPA effects.
7TH GRADE: Understand CCMR indicators by continuing to establish an internal school culture of advising
8TH GRADE: Complete Personal Graduation Plan
By the end of Middle School, students have analyzed their strengths and aspirations, building awareness of career clusters, and have the tools they need to navigate which high school pathways will prepare them for their careers of interest.
High School:
9TH GRADE: Be prepared mentally for academic challenges as they graduate from high school.
10TH GRADE: Meet a CCMR indicator by maintaining an internal school culture of advising.
11TH GRADE: Prepare for and take ACT and/or SAT and/or TSIA2 Assessments and yield scores that are comparable to state and national averages.Â
12TH GRADE: Meet STAAR/Graduation requirements under Chapter 74.
By the end of High School, a student has completed all the academic, career, and financial requirements necessary to enroll in a postsecondary pathway that reflects their strengths and interests, and they've developed the personal and social skills necessary to build support networks and thrive in their postsecondary pathway.
