GOALS OF THE CAC

• Review/revise Student/Campus Needs & Counseling Data

• Discuss recommendations for counseling program

• Implement/evaluate goals and generate a plan to meet program goals

• Discuss counselor use of time and duties

ORGANIZING

At Mary Hoge Middle School, administration & counselors will make the decisions  to study and improve the school counseling program. Program improvement efforts will be overseen by administrators, counseling staff and site-based committee.

PLANNING

At Mary Hoge Middle School, planning will be conducted by administration and counselors.  The planning will be based on Texas Comprehensive Model in which the foundational components will include the Mary Hoge Middle School mission statement, definition, rationale, assumptions and goals. 

DESIGNING

At Mary Hoge Middle School, the designing of our school counseling program will be be based on student needs.  The needs will come from Mary Hoge Middle School District Improvement Plan and Panorama survey.

IMPLEMENTING

At Mary Hoge Middle School, the counseling program improvement plan and annual program plans will be used throughout the school year, such as student advisement, college & career readiness, academic/personal/social development,  classroom guidance lessons and individual counseling.

EVALUATING

At Mary Hoge Middle School, any modifications that need to be made based on data such as Panorama survey and Campus Improvement Plan will be made by administration, counselors,  staff, and site-base committee members, and any others involved in the process.
