Counselors Role: School counselors play a vital role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and social development. The Counselors provide guidance on academic planning, counseling for personal and emotional issues, and help students navigate social challenges. Furthermore, the counselors foster a positive school environment and collaborate with stakeholders to meet student's needs.
Leadership & Advocacy: Ms. Abrego & Mrs. Mejia showcase leadership and advocacy by developing and leading character education programs that teach students about respect, empathy, and conflict resolution. They advocate for students by collaborating with teachers and parents to create individualized support plans for those facing academic or behavioral challenges. Additionally, they organize school-wide initiatives like anti-bullying campaigns and provide professional development for staff on recognizing and addressing early signs of mental health issues, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
