We begin every guidance class with a Mindful exercise. There are lots of ways you can try this at home too! Our favorite applications we use at school are Mindyeti and Calm. Your children are fabulous at being mindful and can show you how we do it in school! Each mindful session lasts between 3-7 minutes. When using the Calm application there are a variety of lengths to be explored!
Students get their Yeti Bodies Ready by: Sitting up with back straight, closing eyes or keeping them on the screen, having zero voices, keeping hands together, keeping body calm and still, taking slow calm deep breaths in and out. Enjoy!
Students can find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. There are a variety of options on Calm. Activities range from bedtime stories, sport preparation, relief from anxiety, working on confidence, self-love, self-esteem, breaking free from worry, and so on! So many themes to check out!
