Student Government Association

WPS Student Government Association (SGA) is responsible for being the voice and representation of our students. Through an SGA course that works to develop leadership skills within students as well as through the elected officer positions, students have many opportunities to make a positive impact on the school. The organization is responsible for events that are planned throughout the year. The students work hard to ensure that they are representing their peers well by listening to them and finding ways to create a positive learning and social experience for all students.

At each grade level, there are elected officials for the roles of president, vice president, secretary, and marketing manager. Additionally, there can be additional students involved with events and decision-making that affects a particular grade level. The process of being elected into the key officer positions of President and Vice President involves a three-pronged election system where students, SGA members, and WPS faculty and administration vote for the officials.
