A nice little snack for not only you but the young ones. Great for a nice small picnic and for the guests.
Apples of your choosing; We used Granny Smiths.
First, get any amount of apples you want. We used eight of them.
Next, fill a bowl with water and put some lime juice in (for flavor).
Then, start cutting up your apples. You'll want to cut them about a quarter-inch thin.
Next, as you add each apple slice make sure you push them down into the water so they'll get the flavor.
Then, when it's all set and ready to cook. You'll want to find something that can either raise the apples or find some parchment paper to put them on (make sure you do spray it with cooking oil or put butter on).
Next, lay them down so that they are close but not too close. cooking them together can cause them to stick to each other.
Finally, cook them at 250 for some delicious chewy ones, or 300 for some nice crunchy chips.
While making your apple chips you may want to add some seasons to make it taste even better.
When your apples are soaking in the water and you take them out and lay them. This is when you would want to add your seasonings.
For out flavors we added:
Cinnamon
Brown Sugar
Ginger
We didn't measure the amout we put in as when you add these ingredents you must add to your liking. the more you add the sweeter it is. We didn't add much of anything.
Add whatever else you would like and enjoy.
