Meet Me!

Hi everyone and welcome to 5th grade! My name is Mrs. Pittman. This is my seventh year teaching and my third year in 5th grade at New Hope teaching ELA. I have previously taught 3rd grade at Jones Elementary for four years. I graduated from Barton College in 2019 and have my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. I am also a proud product of Wilson County Schools and I am so elated to be back teaching in the school district that provided me with so much. I can't wait for us to learn, explore, and grow together this school year.  I've been involved in education practices since high school when I began working at an After School Care Program and also tutoring students as a part of one of my classes. Both of these experiences showed me just how much I enjoyed working with students and watching them learn and grow. On the weekends I spend most of my time at the beach. I enjoy baking and photography! My husband, Garrett, and I will be welcoming our little girl, Ellie, in October. If you have any questions, please contact me!
