Contacting the Academy
In the event that you need to contact the academy regarding your son/daughter, you should in the first instance always contact their college. You can either do this by telephone or by email:

There is an answering machine facility on each of these options, please leave a message and a member of the team will get back to you (if necessary) as soon as they can.
If you have a query regarding your son/daughter’s well-being or academic progress, in the first instance please contact the Form Tutor via the College Admin Office (*as above).
If your son/daughter is unwell
If your son/daughter is unwell and not attending school because of sickness, please go through to:
Option 1, then:
Minerva College - Option 1
Apollo College - Option 2
Jupiter College - Option 3
Please leave a message on the answering machine and your son/daughter’s register will be marked accordingly. You should ring each day of absence and leave a message. You can also leave a message on the email address for your child’s college as above.
If your son/daughter is unwell during the day
If your son/daughter is unwell during the day, a member of the college staff will call you to collect him/her if necessary. Students should not contact you direct to collect them, if they do, please call the academy and go through the appropriate College Admin Office and speak with a member of staff.

Should you change your address/landline number/mobile number or email address at anytime, please let us know immediately. You can do this via your College Admin Office.
Importance of Attendance
We pride ourselves on our attendance in Year 7. To enable students to reach their full potential at Wilmington Academy, it is essential their attendance levels are at least 96%. If attendance drops below this level, it will have a detrimental effect on your child’s education.
Communication from Wilmington Academy
Communication from the academy comes from an email system called BromCom. We also use text messages as a method of communication. If you reply to a BromCom email it comes directly into the admin email inbox and will be forwarded on for you to the correct person. You are unable to reply to a text.
