Communication between the school and home is an important part in helping each child to be successful and feel supported. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions or concerns (or positives!). Email is a great way to reach me, and I try to respond within 24 hours. I generally check my mail before school, during lunch, and after school. If you have time-sensitive communication, call the main office and they will promptly communicate that message to me or your child.
Every other week, I’ll send home our “4th Grade Highlights” newsletter to keep you informed and connected to what’s happening in our classroom. These newsletters include updates on what we’ve been learning, classroom activities, upcoming events, and important reminders. My goal is to give you a window into your child’s school experience and help you stay up to date with key information.
Formal progress reporting occurs four times across the school year. Parent-Teacher conferences are held in the fall and spring, either in-person or virtually using Meet The Teacher. Report Cards are sent home in the winter and at the end of the school year. Helpful D39 reporting resources can be found below.

Understanding the Behaviors That Promote Learning descriptors
Virtual student work will occasionally be shared via individual online journals found in your child's Seesaw account. Artifacts might include creative projects, photos, artwork, practice tasks, or classroom activities. Checking your child's work on Seesaw in addition to the paper-based work that they bring home is a great way to learn about what your child is up to in our classroom. Information about how to access your child's Seesaw account will be sent home at the start of the year.
