K-12 Grammar & Conventions Scope-Sequence

This document is a K-12 table placing the revising and editing TEKS to be covered in each marking period. In your collaborative teams, you will map out the pacing of each TEKS within the marking period. Keep in mind, STAAR will be embedding revising and/or editing passage-questions in all grades this year as field tests. Our job this year will be to continue to teach grammar organically while incorporating the academic language from how it will be assessed on STAAR. Remember, revising/editing passages and questions are not the teaching & learning tool. We must provide students with rich mentor text as models of correct grammar and author's craft.
