Year 6

Term started with a lot of excitement as we found out what role of responsibility we have now we are top of the school. Although, now as we write, the holidays feel like a distant memory as we have certainly 'hit the ground running' (towards the horizon of 11+) beginning the much anticipated Accelerated learning programme with Mr Wildman and Mrs Battey! In Humanities, we have been learning about chronology and where weather comes from with Mrs Draper. We were very excited to go on our first Oates afternoons, and cannot wait for next week (although we hope it may be a bit drier!). In Science we have been remembering how to be safe in the lab before we begin our practicals and in Philosophy we were debating if we should rethink historical heroes. We are thankful it is Friday but excited to see what the rest of this term brings!
