Registration for the 2025-2026 Student Workshop is now CLOSED.
Join us for the Windy City Workshop in Chicago from July 23-25! The 2026 CANUSA Student Workshop in Chicago provides an immersive, hands-on experience in wildlife health, conservation, and veterinary medicine. Participants will engage with professionals at Lincoln Park Zoo, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum.
Through wet labs, field-based training, and behind-the-scenes tours, students will gain experience in urban wildlife research, animal welfare assessment, aquatic animal care, and museum-based disease ecology. Small-group interactions with veterinarians, biologists, and animal care staff provide insight into clinical practice, conservation research, and career pathways. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to build practical skills while exploring diverse careers in wildlife and zoological medicine.
