This student-run workshop brings together veterinary, ecology, and biology students from across the U.S. to explore Midwest wildlife conservation, species health, and urban fieldwork. Last year’s workshop hosted students representing more than thirteen universities—from Colorado to Calgary and even Kenya. Through hands-on learning and collaboration with wildlife veterinarians, biologists, and conservation partners, attendees gain experience in field techniques, local species health assessments, and essential skills for working with urban wildlife. These events also provide invaluable opportunities for early-career wildlife health professionals to network and receive mentorship.
To keep this workshop affordable and accessible, we rely on sponsorship to help cover the costs of meals, lodging, and local transportation for student participants. All sponsorship contributions go directly toward workshop expenses and are fully deductible as a donation to the Wildlife Disease Association’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
As a sponsor, your organization’s name and logo will be featured in workshop materials and during workshop activities, as well as in our free monthly webinars leading up to July 2026—anticipated to reach a broad national and international audience. To be included in early promotional materials, we encourage sponsorship commitments by December 20, 2025. Sponsoring this event offers a meaningful way to demonstrate your organization’s commitment to wildlife health, conservation, and the training of future professionals in these fields. A range of sponsorship tiers is included in the attachment to this email, and we also welcome in-kind contributions.
We would be honored to partner with you in supporting the next generation of wildlife health professionals. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact us!
