4th grade artists are exploring LINE, and SHAPE, elements of art!
We are learning how create an abstract work of art with lines and shapes that remind us of something from real life. We are inspired by the artist, Wassily Kandinsky.
I can use lines and shapes to make an abstract work of art.
Vocabulary
Line- A mark on a page
Shape- a closed form
Abstract- does not look like real life, BUT reminds us of real life

4th grade artists are continuing to work on our October project.
After we finish, we will spend some time learning about Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, who made pattern pumpkins. We will make a special pattern pumpkin of our own, that will be able to stand up.

Artists will spend some time in nature practicing drawing a landscape. We will then think of a place that makes us calm, and draw a landscape with an object in the foreground, middle groud, and background.
