3rd grade artists are exploring LINE, an element of art, and PATTERN, a principal of art!
We are learning how create a work of art while using our name and patterns that represent us. We are inspired by the artist, Bisa Butler who is a textile artist that uses bright colors and bold patterns to create portraits.

After we finish, we will spend some time learning about Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, who made pattern pumpkins. We will make a special pattern pumpkin of our own, that will be able to stand up.
