Employers & Businesses Post Job Openings for Students Here!
The Mastery Experience Work-Based Learning program is your key to getting .5 school credit for your job, internship or volunteer experience (depending on the number of work hours put in).
ME WBL involves students working with professionals in “real world” settings to gain an understanding of a career field and what it takes to be successful in an ever-changing world. The program consists of active collaboration between student, internship host or job supervisor, and the School-To-Careers Coordinator to create a seamless integration of school and real world learning, enabling students to build knowledge and gain skills through this experience.
Steps to enroll and get credit for the program:
First, complete the Mastery Experience Independent Study Proposal Form for Work-Based Learning.
After your proposal has been approved, you will be filling out a Participation Log every two weeks describing what you did and what you learned during that time period. Your supervisor will be filling out an Evaluation Form on your behalf on a quarterly basis.
Lastly, you will need to complete a Student Internship Evaluation Form summarizing your experience at the end of the semester.
