Internship Opportunities (Fall 2025 Semester)
You must be at least 16 years old to in order apply for an internship. To apply for any of these positions, please complete the Internship Application Form and email Ms. Domika a resume and cover letter detailing your interest in the internship opportunity you are applying for.
Culinary Internship - 12-week opportunity at a Newington restaurant split up by the following: (accepting applications)
First 4 Weeks: Back of House
Prep Cook. Learn and execute knife work, following recipes, portioning, cleaning and sanitizing
Second 4 Weeks: Front of House
Host. Learn and execute how to answer phones, make and manage reservations on cloud based platform, greet and seat customers, clear and reset tables
Expo. Learn and execute garnishing dishes, organizing orders, directing food runners/servers
Social Media. Learn about our brand and how we develop posts, independently develop and create posts for review by the Social Media manager
Third 4 Weeks: Back of House
Line Chef. Learn and execute menu items on pantry, sauté, and oven stations
This is a partially paid opportunity for .5 general elective credit.
Journalism Internship - Semester-long opportunity at a local news website: (all spots are currently filled)
Must have strong writing skills and an interest in social media and photography
Must be willing to attend school and town wide events
This is an unpaid opportunity for .5 general elective credit.
Business/Communications Internship - Semester-long opportunity at a small business in West Hartford: (all spots are currently filled)
Ideal for students interested in entrepreneurship, event planning, and communications.
You will learn the ins and outs of small business operations, marketing, and community building within a modern office space.
This is an unpaid opportunity for .5 general elective credit. Must be available to work at least 5 hours a week after school and/or on weekends.
Town Clerk's Office Internship - Town of West Hartford: (all spots are currently filled)
Must be detail-oriented, punctual, and organized.
This is an unpaid opportunity for .5 general elective credit. Must be available to work at least 4 hours a week after school.
