Starting my career at West Hartford Public Schools has been nothing short of magical for me. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to teach Art Quest as I start at Norfeldt as well!
I grew up in Connecticut and have been a lifelong lover of art and education. As a child, school was my second home and the art room was my sanctuary. I pursued both art and a teaching career after my high school years, as I earned my Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the University of Hartford in 2021 and completed a post-baccalaureate program for Art Education at Central Connecticut State University in spring of 2023. Upon graduation from the University of Hartford, I was awarded Summa Cum Laude Honors for my degree in Illustration and Animation. Covid-19 changed the world during my third year at school, which is when I was planning on transferring to Central Connecticut State University for Art Education, so I decided to stay within my program and enroll in the post-baccalaureate program at Central.
Two months before I was set to complete my program requirements at CCSU, the opportunity to interview for the opening at Norfeldt School became available to me. By the end of the month, I was fortunate enough to be chosen for the role!
I am so excited to be joining the Art Quest team and to see the amazing works of art our students will create. I have also included personal works of art by me on this page. Thank you for reading!
