After a hard tough start to the 2024 season, Pioneers high school football team took the division 14 title, winning their first CIF-SS title against San Gabriel high school, at Pioneer high on November 30, on saturday night.
Pioneer walked away with the win against San Gabriel, winning 13-6. The victory over the San Gabriel Matadors was nothing new to The Titans as they are now sitting on five straight wins.
One reason for the victory against the San Gabriel Matadors was Pioneers excellent defense. The Titans defense was able to hold the Matadors to 6 points. The senior Joshua Morlet, who plays LB was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself, with his strong performance he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. Also following Pioneers football captain, Eduardo Gonzalez who picked up a sack and made 23 total tackles.
Pioneer's victory over San Gabriel was their third straight at home. Pioneer will be welcoming Panorama at 6:00 pm on Saturday (december 7). Panorama will be coming in playing for their sixth straight victory, but Pioneer surely won't give up without a fight.

LOS ANGELES- More than 200,000 Dodger fans paint L.A. blue in celebration of the 2024 world series winners, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The parade took place on Friday, November 1st at around 11 a.m.
After taking their eighth world series win against the New York Yankees on Wednesday, October 30th Los Angeles Dodgers fans took over the streets of L.A. in honor of the win. The Dodgers rode through the streets of L.A. on eight double decker buses full of players, their families, staff, and front office members.
“This was the coolest thing I’ve ever been a part of,” said Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw. The celebration inside Dodger stadium started around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 1st. The celebration continued with Ice Cube performing on the field just as he did before game 2 of the world series.
When the Dodgers won the 2020 world series they did not get their proper celebration because of covid-19. Four years later with determination and hard work, the Dodgers were able to carry their eighth world series win during a competitive series against the Yankees. The Dodgers took the win during game 5 in the 9th inning when Walker Buehler struck out outfielder Alex Verdugo.
I'm sure the Dodgers were feeling the support from fans that Friday morning. It was a memorable experience for fans and the players, definitely the way to celebrate their eighth world series win.

It is an understatement to state that many are left disappointed after Friday, November 15th. When a former boxing legend Mike Tyson fought a youtuber and now boxer Jake paul. This fight has been anticipated since July 20th, the original date when both were supposed to fight. But the fight was postponed due to a medical emergency that Mike Tyson faced shortly before the date. In June Tyson stated that he was on a plane from Miami when he went to the bathroom and threw up blood. He went to the hospital and later found out he had a 2 and a half inch ulcer. He lost half of his blood, 25 pounds, and had eight blood transfusions. 6 months later he is taking part in one of the biggest sporting events in modern sports history. On netflix over 108 million global users stopped to watch the fight, making it the most streamed sporting event ever. The match had a total of eight rounds and two minutes each. In the end Mike Tyson threw 97 punches and landed 18, while Jake Paul threw 278 and hit 78. In the end Iron Mike Tyson could not keep up with Jake Paul who is 27 while Tyson is 58. And by unanimous decision Jake Paul won the match. The next morning Mike Tyson released a statement saying “This is one of those situations where you lost but still won. I'm grateful for last night. No regrets to get in the ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you” The fight being the final end of his career.

The boys' football team poses with their trophy after their win against East Whittier Middle School on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.
EAST WHITTIER MIDDLE SCHOOL-- The Wildcat boys' football team played their final game of the season against East Whittier Middle School on Thursday, November 7th, and closed out their undefeated season as champions.
The game was a very stressful, and suspensful. The game came down to the last play when East Whittier dropped a hail-mary touchdown pass which conceded the victory for Andrews.
At the start of this season, the team didn't have high hopes for this season considering they only went 1-5 last year. The first week of October the team started practicing to make a statement and prove the doubters wrong.
Every game the team had proved their ability to succesfully communicate during the games. Despite the smaller team their ability to comunicate was reinforced due to their companionship.
