History of Christmas

Christmas is a popular holiday celebrated on December 25. It is also a
worldwide cultural and a commercial phenomenon. Popular activities in
Christmas include giving out presents, attending church, decorating the
Christmas tree and much more.
Winter has been a celebration for people all over the world for a long time.
Early Europeans celebrated light and birth in the darkest days of winter. Near the
end of December was a celebration for most places in Europe, many cattles were
killed so they would not be fed during winter. It was the only time of the entire
year when they had supplies of fresh meat.
Santa Claus is a very popular and an important person at Christmas, but how
was Santa Claus invented? A monk by the name of St. Nicholas. He was born in
Turkey at 280 A.D.. St. Nicholas used his wealth and money to help the poor.
Dutch families honored the death of “Sint Nikolaas” which was Dutch for Saint
Nicholas, “Santa Claus” draws his name for this abbreviation.
Who invented Christmas? The first ever recorded celebration of Christmas
was actually in Rome, on December 25, 336 A.D. The Romans celebrated two
holidays in December, the first being Saturnalia, and the second the birth of
Mithra, their sun god.

Greetings Wildcats it’s your favorite writer here and her best friend. Today we’ve decided it would be a great idea to tell you about Holiday Traditions. So you know we’ll be switching from time to time. But that’s not the point! The point is to inform you all on the wonders of Holiday Traditions! So let’s get into it.

Common Christmas Traditions (that you probably already know), is leaving cookies for Santa, decorating the rotten tree corpse (don’t tell your parents) and of course, opening the presents under the tree. But other traditions include opening one present on Christmas Eve, touring houses to see the Christmas lights, building gingerbread houses, and singing Christmas carols. So what about you? Do you have any traditions?
Christmas traditions can be a really important part of the holidays for your family and your friends. Traditions can be a myriad of things, and every tradition is special.

As we approach the holiday season, you can’t resist thinking about what is coziest during this time of year. Examples include baking sweet treats, spending time with family and friends, buying or opening gifts, and watching or listening to your favorite Christmas movie and song. Which makes a segway into the topic of discussion.
Here at Wallen L. Andrews, middle school student’s completed a survey asking them what their favorite Christmas movies and songs were. For Christmas movies, 40.9% of students voted for the 1990 film Home Alone, a classic yet a goodie. The runners-up were the 2015 horror/fantasy film Krampus at 15.9% and the 2003 comedy/family film Elf at 13.6%. And at 22.7%, the top-voted Christmas song was “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. The runners-up were “Last Christmas” by Wham at 13.6% and “What’s This?” by Danny Elfman at 13.6%.

On November 10th, Kevin Conroy died at the age of 66. Fans of the DC franchise best know him as Batman from Batman Beyond. Conroy died after a battle with cancer; his producer at Warner Bros announced his death on Friday. Many Batman fans were sad to hear about his death.

Hello neighbor 2
Everyone is hiding something in Hello Neighbor 2. Hello Neighbor 2 finally has a release date, and the good news is that you won't have to wait too long before uncovering skeletons in the closet once more. The sequel is to be released on December 6, 2022, on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and PlayStation stores.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns
The second game we have for you is Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Marvel Midnight Suns is a card based action RPG. Play As Logan (Wolverine), The Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Blade, Ghost Rider, and Iron man , just to name a few. Lead a team of legendary Marvel heroes as they attempt to stop the Mother of Demons from completing an ancient prophecy and summoning her evil master, Chthon. You can also create a custom superhero to fight alongside the other heros! There will be four versions of the game at launch. The standard edition includes the base game alone, the Enhanced edition includes 5 premium skins, the Digital+ edition includes 11 premium skins, and finally the Legendary edition includes Marvel’s Midnight Suns base game

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion
Up next on our list is the fan favorite, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion! Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is a 2022 action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. It is the first in a planned trilogy of games remaking the 2007 PlayStation game Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Follow the tale of SOLDIER operative Zack Fair, as he discovers the secrets of Shinra's dark experiments. Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is coming out Dec. 13, Square Enix revealed Tuesday, it will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, the Nintendo Switch and Windows.
GameSpot states “Crisis Core Reunion Is A More Faithful Remake Than You Might Expect--For Better And Worse. It's prettier and more fluid, but Crisis Core Reunion still maintains the PSP experience of the original. Final Fantasy VII is an enduring classic, and the success of Square Enix's 1997 RPG also led to several spin-offs.”
Dragon Quest Treasures

The Santa Clause movie is a world wide love movie starring Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, later known as Santa Claus, but fear no more Christmas fans, there is a new series called: The Santa Clauses following the life of Tim Allen's character, Santa Clause.
“Santa Claus, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen Santa Claus, so it’s gonna be pretty cool.” Abraham says, looking at his ipad for some strange reason.
“I don’t know anything about it, I haven’t seen the first one either.” Evan says, a bit confused, but it's how life adjusts.
The Santa Clauses are going to be following Scott, realizing that he can’t be Santa Claus forever when his 65th birthday comes around. The series comes out on November 25, 2022.

Donald Glover is the creator of the tv comedy Atlanta. He not only stars in the show but also serves as its creator, producer, director and co-writer. Outside of his work on Atlanta, Glover is also a Grammy-award winning rapper who goes by the stage name Childish Gambino, a stand-up comedian and DJ.
Early life
Donald McKinley Glover was born on september 25, 1983 at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Glover’s family moved to Georgia when he was still very young and was raised principally in the community of Stone Mountain, about 20 miles northeast of atlanta. According to Glover, Stone Mountain at that time was primarily a white suburb and his family was one of the only African American families in the area.
Glover's father worked in a post office, and his mother was a day-care manager. Glover has a brother and sister, and two adopted siblings. His parents, both Jehovah's witnesses, took in foster children for many years, and Glover describes a household that was at times chaotic.
In high school, Glover became involved in musicals and plays. After high school, he attended New York University's Tisch School of Arts and graduated in 2006 with a degree in dramatic writing. After graduation, he produced comedy videos with former classmates who formed a troupe called Derrick Comedy
Movies and tv shows
Glover has appeared in a variety of films, such as Magic mike XXL (2015), and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). But before he jumped onto the big screen, he was first a television writer, handpicked by Tina Fey. In 2006, Fey hired Glover to join the writing staff on her NBC series 30 Rock at age of 23.

The NFL season is in week 12 which means it is past the midseason and here is what has happened so far:
Blockbuster trades and ranking the trades
There have been a few trades that are big news such as TJ Hockenson to the Vikings for a 2023 second round pick and a 2024 third round pick. Originally this trade was not to good because they traded to high draft picks over two separate years but now this is actually a really good trade for the Vikings due to their former need of a Tight End and as well as the fact that they are performing extremely well this year and have a high seed for the playoffs and may need to try to go to the Superbowl. So overall I give this trade an A-. The next trade is former Bears linebacker Roquan smith. Roquan Smith was traded to the Ravens for a few second and fifth round picks. Even though Roquan smith is one of the best linebackers in the game of football currently this trade is still not the best due to the amount of draft picks and position he plays. He plays linebacker which is important but not a major needed position in football or for the team so trading all of these draft picks for Roquan smith is just an ok trade. I would give this trade a B-/C+.this next trade I will talk about two players whose names are Chase Claypool and Calvin Ridley. Chase was traded for one 2023 2nd round pick and Calvin was traded for a 2023 5th round pick and a 2024 2nd round pick. Both trades for both teams are good due to their needs of wide receivers and what they traded for them. Calvin Ridley is a good WR but was suspended all season due to gambling so this trade is only good for next year. But he is a stellar wide receiver and will get his chance to shine so for now I give this trade a B+. As for chase who was traded to the bears who needed a wide receiver badly this was a good upgrade for small value as chase has never gotten a true chance to show his potential but now with bears former number one receiver injured and out for the season this is a very good addition. I give the bears trade a B/B+
Surprising teams and weird situations
So far this year hasn't been very normal to say the least. The Raiders, Broncos, Chargers– who were all expected to do very good this year due to upgrades in the offseason– are now just trying to reach the playoffs with the Raiders record being 4-7, Broncos at 3-8, and Chargers at 6-5. Meanwhile the Chiefs who were expected to barely make the playoffs are currently the best team in the AFC at 9-2. Lastly, the standout team the New York Jets. The Jets were expected to play bad this year and get an early draft pick but so far it's been the opposite. Rookie cornerback sauce gardner has been a team standout and one of the best cornerbacks being top 5 in many stats. They also had Breece Hall who was also a rookie and good but he tore his ACL so they traded for star jaguars running back James Robinson. Lastly the quarterback change before 12 the Jets starting quarterback was Zach Wilson who was never good he either threw too many interceptions not enough completions or not enough yards. Zach Wilson also wasn't a leader and couldn't get the offense moving and wouldn't take any blame if he had a bad game. Due to all these he was benched for backup mike white who came into the game and instantly performed well throwing for over 300 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a positive completion percentage.
On the other side of the NFL so far things haven't been as weird but certainly not normal. For example last year's Superbowl Champions, the LA Rams, have been underperforming drastically. They were originally projected to make the playoffs but are now 3-8 and have almost no chance at making the playoffs now. Next is the NFC south who are all doing very bad with losing records so anything goes they all have shots at the playoffs. The rest of the NFC is a little weird the NFC West is being led by the Seahawks and 49ers but the Seahawks at the beginning of the year were projected to do horrible and maybe even go winless but so far they have a winning record and are hoping to make the playoffs next the NFC north which is led by the vikings who were not a team people were talking about at all are 9-2 and have one of the best records in the NFL. Besides them, the Packers, Lions, and Bears are not doing well; all having losing records which was expected for the Lions and Bears, but not the Packers. It is a very surprising record due to them making the playoffs last year and having the best record; all of a sudden they have one of the worst records in the blink of an eye.
Lastly is the NFC East. So far the NFC East has been the best division so far having the best records and most all around division. So far the surprise team, the Giants and Commanders, have 7 wins after being projected for under 6 by many, and the Cowboys, who are 8-3 after many thought they would not do well due to quarterback or coaching reasons. The Eagles, who are performing how many thought they would due to their outstanding roster, are 10-1 with the best record in the NFL and are most likely going to make the playoffs. The only thing about the Eagles is people say they have not beat good teams, they have gone against a few bad teams and have struggled but have also beat many teams who are average or a team that had many injuries. The Eagles may need to prove themselves but also keep it up if they wanna go for a Superbowl Championship this year
