Business Sequences
The William Floyd School of Business will enable you to prepare for college, help gain entry-level employment, and fulfill business-related personal responsibilities.
Courses are designed to provide a variety of options for students to meet elective requirements, while developing job and college-related skills.
Business Sequences
A 5-credit sequence in Business Education can be used as an alternative to the 3 credit World Language requirement for an Advanced Regents Diploma.
Please Note: Students can only use this substitution after they have earned one (1) credit in World Language.

Through interactive projects, case studies and simulations, students will apply business concepts to real-world scenarios—learning how companies make decisions, how markets operate, and how smart financial choices can create long-term success. By the end of the year, students will gain a strong foundation in both business leadership and financial literacy—skills that last a lifetime. The AP exam cost is $96. The Free/Reduced Lunch cost is $53. These costs are subject to change as per federal and state guidelines.

This course emphasizes the relationship of business law to an individual’s personal and occupational life. Illustrative case problems are used to develop legal reasoning and problem solving in such areas as contractual disputes and deceptive sales practices.

Everyday Law

Real Estate Reality

In addition, students will be introduced to artificial intelligence tools and learn how they are transforming the workplace everyday life.
Through hands-on projects, real -world scenarios, and collaboration, students will learn to create professional documents, presentations, and digital content while strengthening their online presence and digital decision-making skills. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed for academic success, career readiness, and responsible participation in a technology driven society.

Wall Street

This course will give you the opportunity to explore investment opportunities. Students will develop an
introductory knowledge of the stock market (the ABC’s of investing). We will also discuss stocks, mutual funds and 401(k) plans as retirement options.
