Monster Rubbish Bin

Kitter Litter is a concern when you are staying near high rise buildings, so what can we do to discourage people from throwing litter from high floor or out of their windows?

P5 pupils (2017) had come up with a huge monster rubbish bin which roars each time you feed it with rubbish and what's fun is, the more you feed it, the louder it roars!

Micro:bit Global Competition 2020

Group 6 Microbit Innovation Club.mp4

Innovation Club pupils and selected P6 pupils took part in the Micro:bit Global Competition in the beginning of 2020.

Micro:bit Water Showering Pump for Disabled

A group of Innovation Club pupils had design a water pump that can help the disabled to shower on their own even without the help of their family (related to Global Goal 11.3-INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE URBANIZATION).

Usually people have to turn the shower tap with their hands in order to have water coming out of the shower head. However, for the disabled (especially if their hands are injured or disabled), they would need their family to help to shower them. This brings a lot of inconvenience to the family. They hope that with their invention, the disabled will not have problems showering.

The disabled just have to press the button with their feet, which will trigger the water pump to pump out water. In this way, they can effortlessly shower on their own. This can also be used in the elderly home, or the nursing home. It will ease the job of the nurses at the elderly or nursing home.

3D-Tronics Micro:bit Asia Competition 2020

Task: The theme for 2020 is Digital Making for Safe Re-Opening. Can you prototype a digital maker solution to help address the issues of the day?

A P5 Innovation Club pupil, who is also our Maker Ambassador came up with a special Micro:bit watch that will remind people to maintain social distancing.

Following the guidelines of PERMA matrix, she created something that would help to improve the lives of others.
