Maker Fiesta 2021


The theme for this year is the "Magic of Making, Making an Impact". Hope you have enjoyed the overview presentation, the magic show and the showcase of the Poonchoco (a robot which reminds people to put on mask) put up by our Maker Ambassadors.

DIY Bath Bomb

~Mini Bath Bomb~

Ingredients:

Baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, coconut oil, vanilla essence, food coloring and water

Steps:

1. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of citric acid and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in a small bowl.

2. Add a few drops of coconut oil.

3. Add a drop of vanilla essence.

4. Add a drop of food colouring (diluted).

5. Mix until the color evens out.

6. Pour the mixture into a mold/small container.

7. Put in the freezer for 2 hours.

8. To remove the bath bomb, knock the back of the container with the back of a metal spoon.

9. Place the bath bomb in a bathtub, sink or a transparent container for a bubbling good time!

Making with Family Competition

In celebration of Maker Fiesta 2021, we are organising a Making with Family competition. We would like to seek your support in encouraging and guiding your child at home to engage in any form of making activities.

Do take pictures of the final creation and pictures of you doing it as a family and submit them to https://go.gov.sg/wwpsmwf2021 .

1 lucky winner per level will be chosen and awarded a science/maker kit.
