Important tips:
Once baked, turn upside down and use the flat bottom as the top of your cake.
Add marmelade with a pastry brush and then cover with marzipan until smooth.
When rolling the marzipan and fondant, use icing sugar instead of flour when rolling with a rolling pin.
Cover with fondant and use a ribbon to neaten and decorate the base of your cake.
When making figures with fondant do not keep them in the fridge as they will spoil. Do not store you cake in the fridge either. The colours will run and spoil your creation.
