The Westside Union School District is pleased to offer an award winning teacher induction program!  Our full time release mentors work diligently to support our candidates in all aspects of classroom instruction as they work towards mastery of the CSTP standards.  

We are proud to offer all new teachers to the district start up support during the first month of school.  This support is designed to help new hires get acclimated with the culture and expectations of Westside.  

During the induction program, teachers with a preliminary credential work towards mastery of the CSTP standards through the creation and implementation of an individual goal.  This goal is designed to be research based and focused on improving classroom practice.
