Mission Statement
Recognizing the exceptionalism of every child the mission of Westside Union School District is to educate all students to universally high levels of academic competence. We are committed to comprehensive systems of instructional delivery that include research-based best practices to assure this outcome by "pointing the way, providing the path" to success.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to graduate students who have acquired the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to achieve significant career, educational, civic and personal goals, which will enrich our society as positive role models and responsible citizens.
Eligibility for Teacher Induction
Westside Union School District (WUSD) New Teacher Induction provides a two year program of robust mentoring and individualized support to Candidates employed in WUSD and in partnering Districts who have completed the preliminary program and have been issued a Preliminary credential by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Candidates must be employed as the full time teacher of record in order to participate in WUSD Induction.
Upon hire, Candidates are provided information/confirmation regarding their eligibility for Induction by the WUSD Credential Analyst. Prospective Candidates complete an Induction Intake Form with the assistance of the Credential Analyst. Intake Forms are then referred to the Induction Program Coordinator who provides initial program orientation information to the Candidate.

Eligibility for Administrator Induction
Westside Union School District (WUSD) Administrator Induction provides a two year program of robust coaching and individualized support to Candidates employed in WUSD and in partnering Districts who have completed the preliminary program and have been issued a Preliminary administrative services credential by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Candidates must be employed as a full time administrator working in an administrative position in order to participate in WUSD Induction.
Upon hire, Candidates are provided information/confirmation regarding their eligibility for Induction by the WUSD Credential Analyst and program director. Prospective Candidates complete an Induction Intake Form with the assistance of the Credential Analyst. Intake Forms are then referred to the Induction Program director who provides initial program orientation information to the Candidate.
