Boys Basketball

Tryouts:

• TRYOUTS will begin 11/20 7th Grade and 11/27 8th Grade  (Listen to announcements for further information regarding Grade Level).

• Players should wear athletic clothing for example basketball shorts or sweatpants along with a long or short sleeve t-shirt and basketball shoes. Please bring plenty of water  

• ALL tryouts will be held at LMS and will be from 3:00 - 4:25 pm

• LATE BUSES are at 4:30. Please check to see what late bus you will need to take home.

The LMS Boys Basketball team is a competitive basketball team that plays AAU level programs from the Morris, Essex and Union county area. The goal of the program is to prepare players for high school basketball. 

Players will be expected to learn a variety of offenses and defenses which will align with principles of the West Orange High School Program. Players benefit from the team-based atmosphere that helps students create strong bonds as well as helping themselves to achieve their own personal best.

Practice:

• LMS Boys Basketball practices Monday - Thursday. There are no weekend commitments.

• There are no practices on half days, days school is closed.. The team will be notified via announcement  if practice is canceled.  

• Attendance is required and expected unless communicated via player or parent before the practice. We will run a Boys Basketball Google Classroom for all communication.

• All athletes are REQUIRED to take the late buses home unless your parent is at LMS to pick you up.  If the late buses are about to leave and YOUR ride is not at LMS you MUST ride the late buses home.  

Games: 

• Home games are played in the LMS Gym. Spectators must abide by our league's rules. 

• Parents are responsible for transportation after Home and Away Games.  A Bus will take athletes home (Back to LMS) from away games and parents must pick their child up upon returning to LMS unless a Transportation sheet is signed off to take athletes home from away games.

• The game  schedule will be posted in Google Classroom
