Overview:
In this module you will be learning about Google Drive, Google's file storage and synchronization service which enables user cloud storage, file sharing and collaborative editing.
Objectives:
- Understand how to access Google Drive on your computer or on the Web
- Upload, store, and access files on Google Drive
- Convert documents to Google Drive format and edit
- Edit privacy settings in Google Drive
- Share documents for viewing/editing in Google Drive
- Evaluate Google Drive as a cloud-based communication and collaboration tool

Tasks:
- Log in to your school Google account: http://drive.google.com
- Upload a file to your Google Drive and keep it in its original file format (i.e. .doc, .pdf, .ppt, .xls, etc.)
- Upload a file to your Google Drive and convert it to Google Drive format
- Share both of your documents with the instructor (rleomsc@westgenesee.org) and allow him to edit
- Edit the privacy settings to allow anyone with the link to view your documents
Discuss: Complete the following on Google Classroom:
- Share your Google username (i.e. your Gmail address)
- Share the links to the documents you created in Google Drive
- Share your thoughts on the positive/negative aspects of using Google Drive to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, students, and families, and how you might integrate this tool into your leadership.
- Feel free to comment on at least one other student's note.
