Data Collection
With Google Forms, you can create and analyze surveys right in your web browser—no special software is required.
Overview:
In this module you will be learning about Google Forms, a useful tool to help you plan events, send a survey, give students a quiz, or collect other information in an easy, streamlined way.
Objectives:
- Create and edit a Form (i.e. survey)
- Edit a Form with friends or coworkers
- Send a Form to collect data
- View responses in a Google Spreadsheet
- View responses a visual summary of responses
- Evaluate Google Forms as a communication and collaboration tool

Tasks:
- Create a Walk-Through Evaluation Form using Google Forms (feel free to create a different kind of survey that meets your needs--i.e. School Climate Survey, Parent survey, etc.)
- Experiment with Google's editing tools by using at least 5 different question types.
- Invite a colleague to collaborate on a Form with you, giving them editing privileges
- Send the Form to your stakeholders to collect responses
- View the visual Summary of Responses/View responses in a Google Sheet
Discuss: Complete the following on Google Classroom:
- Share the link to your Google Form (hint: click the Send Form button and use the chain link icon to copy the link)
- Share your thoughts on the positive/negative aspects of using Google Forms to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, students, and families, and how you might integrate this tool into your leadership.
- Feel free to comment on at least one other student's note.
