About Us:

We are an FTC team from Westford Academy, a public high school in Westford, Massachusetts. This year is our 18th year competing, and our team consists of students from grades nine through twelve with a variety of experience levels. We regularly advance from state qualifiers to the state championships, winning the Winning Alliance Partner Award for the State Championship in the 2021-2022 season and qualifying second in the 2022-2023 State Championship. This season, we hope to go even further! 

About the FIRST Tech Challenge:

FIRST is an organization that aims to inspire young children and students to pursue a career in STEM. FIRST is divided into 4 different groups. We participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge, created for middle school and high school students, although our team consists only of high school students. Each year, FTC creates a new challenge that is revealed in early September. These challenges require teams to work together to develop a well-designed robot. Each round during competition consists of three states: autonomous, teleop, and endgame. Qualifiers run throughout December, January and February. The state championship is usually the first Saturday in March, and determines the three teams which will move on and represent Massachusetts for the rest of the rounds
