The information below provided important details for Westfield residents leading up to the April 15 vote.
Additional Spending Proposal – WPS seeks additional spending authorization for its 2025-2026 District Operating Budget to keep day-to-day operations the same as they are this current school year.

Voter registration: To participate in this election by mail or in person, your voter registration must have been up to date by March 25. Check your voter registration status in this state database.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For polling locations, visit Westfield's Office of the Town Clerk at westfieldnj.gov/236/Elections-Voting. Your polling location also will be included on sample ballots mailed by the county to every registered voter about a week before the vote.
Know to ask for a ‘provisional ballot.’
If you go to your polling place and are turned away for any reason, ask for a provisional ballot. Fill it out and leave it with the officials at that location.
This will preserve your right to vote while any human error or paperwork problems are sorted out. Your provisional ballot will be counted after officials confirm your eligibility, such as if you were sent a Vote By Mail ballot but did not return it.

To request a mail-in ballot be sent to you, download a Vote By Mail ballot application in English or Spanish and follow its directions. Your application must be received by the county by April 8 to ensure that the actual ballot can be mailed to you in time.
To request a mail-in ballot in person, submit your application to a Union County Clerk’s Office by 3 p.m. Monday, April 14. Go to the offices in the Fraser Building (300 North Ave. East in Westfield). Office hours are listed here. You can even get a ballot, mark it and turn it in all at once.
No printer, ink or paper? Union County will mail you an application if you fill out this form. Allow plenty of time to get an application, mail it back for receipt by April 8, get a Vote By Mail ballot sent to you, and mail back your marked ballot postmarked by April 15.
