Hello Westerly Middle School! I am very excited to start my 10th year as the Westerly middle school science teacher. Those ten years have flown by! I am so excited to begin this school year with you.
Who am I? I was born and raised in Long Beach. I am proud of my Long Beach roots. My whole family lives in Long Beach. Did you know that my parents, siblings, children, and nephews all graduated from Wilson High School? Go Bruins! My children graduated from college and have live on each coast of the United States. I love when they come home to visit and when I get to travel to see them. Speaking of the Bruins, I graduated from UCLA and continue to be a Bruin fan along with my husband, Russ.

Hello! I'm Casey Santillan, and I am happy to join Westerly School as the Middle School Science Lab Assistant.
I was born and raised in Southern California and stayed in the state for my education. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of La Verne and completed my Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies at Cal State Fullerton.
I've worked as a Chemistry tutor for my peers in college and as a teaching assistant for after-school programs with elementary and middle school students. I'm excited to be working in the classroom with Westerly's middle schoolers!
Outside of work, I've been trying to practice more digital art. I also enjoy reading, and playing video games with my friends.
