Students think about criteria that need to be considered if the best decision is to be made.
Do we have the time to organise and make the product/s we like?
Can we get all the resources we need to make the product/s and service/s we like?
Do we like the product/service enough to make it?
Do we have enough start-up money to buy the resources from the warehouse?
Will people buy it on market day?
Now use a numbering system to rate each choice against a criteria, for example, using the numbers 1 – 5.
Step 1:
Moving across the row, rate each criteria against every product idea. If you really like it, give it a high score such as 5, if it is so, then a 3, and if you don’t really like it 1.
Step 2:
After completing all the criteria, add up the numbers in the columns. The highest number/s will be your best choice/s.
