Truly, I have no idea why I joined this particular competition. I believe it was because I was bored and wanted something to do but ironically, I never ended up practicing for it. Despite this, the competition was a great way for me to identify both my areas of weakness and strength. It has also allowed me to develop new skills such as working with people of different ages and also using my brain a little more than normal. 

The ServICE conference was definitely one of my favourite experiences this year. I met a lot of new people who were really nice and shared a lot of common interests with me. During these three days, we listened to other young people share issues of global significance, participated in workshops that promoted sustainability and personal growth, and had a lot of fun in general. 

This was an interesting experience for me as I personally do not feel extremely inclined towards economics. Participating in this competition allowed me to explore different areas of knowledge and understand what I did and did not like.  Prior to the competition itself, we had several meetings where we had to work collaboratively and make decisions together.
