Growing up, I have always been curious on how to play instruments especially having two family members that are musically inclined. My sister have taught me a few ukulele chords but I did not want to learn how to play a song. Especially during this pandemic, I spent most of my time at home and I felt that I should learn new skills. So, I decided to use the basics that I have learnt and challenge myself to do a few song covers! Throughout the process, I have to learnt new chords and strumming patterns. I feel that playing an instrument helps me to relieve stress and make me feel calmer.
Learning Outcomes:
1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Knowing that my best friend's birthday was coming up, I decided to make paper flowers for her! Flowers will wither and will not look as good as before but paper flowers can be kept for long. Initially, I was watching TikTok and came across a video on how to make paper flowers from Post-It notes or sticky notes. So, I was thinking that I should do something that no one has done it for her before. It was a long process as it took me awhile to learn on how to fold the roses and the way the leaves should look like. On the brighter side, I was happy with the outcome. Although it was for a birthday gift, I learnt a new skill on how to transform paper into a gift.
Learning Outcomes:
2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
